International Soccer Server and Soccerway merge

Two pioneers of Internet Soccer, together with almost 20 years of experience, joined eachother in October 2003 in order to create one of the internet’s most complete soccer-sites.

Riku Soininen’s International Soccer Server and Arjen Robijn’s SoccerWay teamed up in October to form a new large soccer website at http://www.soccerway.com. After a decade of learning by doing and following each others work both site managers decided it was time to join forces and combine all the good parts of the sites in the new Soccerway.

The new SoccerWay brings the latest news and a huge soccer results database, covering over 80 competitions and 50 cups. Unique features for most leagues are: archive (upto 10 years back), team comparision (all results between Man.Utd and Arsenal) and various league tables (home/away/form/wide). Other sections on the website include entertainment & links.

In order to make the new SoccerWay as succesful as possible, the active readers of the sites were asked to join a usability-testing group. The site-management was pretty flattered to see people like Australian Jim Janush saying "The site is the best, most detailed one available on this planet!" or hearing Jose Farropas comments from Portugal: "I like the navigation mode, it is very intuitive and straightforward".

About International Soccer Server
International Soccer Server kicked off early 1994 as a hobby of soccer enthusiastic Riku Soininen in Finland. For years the International Soccer Server has been the place for soccer fans looking for soccer results. Riku Soininen: “I’m very pleased that with this merger. I’m now able to give an even better and more complete service to my visitors. The goal remains in providing as much information as possible in easy to reach format.”

About SoccerWay
Just a year after International Soccer Server was launched, Arjen Robijn’s Soccerway.com saw it's first daylight in the Netherlands. In the past years Soccerway developed itself as a leading online source for upto- date soccer news, interviews, opinions and more. “This merger gives us a great opportunity to combine our news service with the results service of the International Soccer Server” Arjen Robijn was quoted. The new SoccerWay brings hundreds of thousands worldwide soccer fans together on one site, creating an interesting place for advertisers & sponsors who want to reach the global soccer fan effectively. SoccerWay also offers content services to companies who are seeking licensed soccer data (news or results).
